GPHeaders offers a variety of headers options for Formula Ford Racecars. We custom manufacture exhaust manifolds for both the 1600cc and 2000cc engines commonly used for this application. From off the shelf standard headers to custom ones off designs, all of these headers are built from an American made 304 stainless steel with .375” thick headers flanges and true merge collectors. GPHeaders is continually adding headers to our list as we work with customers to develop these to withstand the abuse that these cars take each time they hit the track. If a prebuilt header is not right for you are we can also build custom sets from either an existing headers or by sending you our PVC mockup kit to design the perfect headers for your formula ford racecar. With all of our off the shelf standard headers, we still allow the customer to design each part to best suite their needs. A few examples of this would be tube sizing, one piece or individual flanges and collector styles such as 4 into 1 or a tri-y setup. As each engine is built differently it should be considered that your header should also be customized to suit the needs. Many times our customers are very happy with the performance from their existing headers but over the years the headers has been damaged and is finally beyond repair. Repeated abuse that comes with racing and high temp heat cycles will eventually deteriorate the material. If you are happy with what you have and the performance it gives you with your engine build, we can take your old set of headers and build and exact replica from a 304 stainless steel.
For those that do not have an existing exhaust manifold or are wanting to do something truly custom, our PVC mockup kit is a great option to achieve just that. This kit will allow you to design headers for any combination whether it be a pre-crossflow or crossflow engine and allow for different collector tyles such as a tri-y or 4 into 1 merge collector. These designs are specific to your engine build and chassis configuration. This is by far the best option for difficult to route exhaust manifolds or wild designs for maximum power gains.
